Since opening Candystripe Couture in 2008, we have spoken to so many brides who have experienced a negative time when shopping for their gown… from rude, pushy sales people to not being allowed to take a pram into the store. We are child friendly and even have some toys!!
Our aim is to give everyone that comes into our bridal studio a friendly, non pushy service: shopping for your wedding / prom / bridesmaid gowns and even suits is all part of the lead up to your big day that you should enjoy and have fond memories about.
Other frustrating comments that we hear daily are about sample gowns being far too small ie UK 8 and 10’s… although we appreciate that there are petite ladies, we also know that the average dress size in the UK is a 16/18: therefore, we cater for all shapes and sizes where possible.
We do not insist on or work on an appointment only system; however we do like our brides to feel special and insist on having just one bride at a time trying on in order to give you the attention and time you deserve, so an appointment is recommended during busy periods and especially a Saturday. If our opening times are not convenient, we will try our best to accommodate in the evenings or even on a Sunday - So please do not hesitate to contact us to make an appointment to see our fabulous range of gowns
